Qld: Search for missing swimmer to resume today
A search for a 17-year-old woman who has disappeared while swimming on the Gold Coast is
set to continue today.
A police spokesman says the woman vanished while swimming in the surf at The Spit, near
Southport, just after 6.30pm yesterday.
Police, surf lifesavers and the Westpac rescue helicopter searched the area last night in
an unsuccessful bid to find the woman.
